Lightroom Mobile Preset – Bright & Airy Cherry Blossom Edit

| Time to Read :

2–3 minutes

A few days ago, someone asked me on TikTok what filter I used for one of my cherry blossom photos in Japan.

So—here it is! I’m sharing the exact preset I used, for only $0.99 😉.

What is this Bright & Airy Sakura Preset?

This preset is designed to make sakura season look just as dreamy as it feels in real life.

It gives your photos a bright and airy look with soft pinks, gentle whites, and a touch of warmth—perfect for cherry blossoms, temples, parks, or even cozy café snaps in spring.

Keep in mind that the final result will vary depending on your original photo—especially the lighting and colors. I designed this preset as a soft base, so feel free to tweak the exposure or white balance to make it match your style.

For example, the before photo below (left side) was taken on my iPhone. It’s sharp and bold.

When I was editing my Japan travel photos, I wanted something that felt light and calm.

Nothing too strong or overly filtered—just a soft glow that highlights the beauty of sakura season.

This preset quickly became my go-to for the anime-like Japan feels, and now I’m excited to share it with you.

I think it’s Best For:

  • Cherry blossom photos in Japan
  • Travel bloggers who want a soft, cohesive look
  • Anyone who loves calm, pastel-toned edits
  • Photos taken with HDR on iPhone, and if you’d like to soften it

Works With:

  • Lightroom Mobile (you don’t need the paid version!)
  • Easy to use on both iPhone and Android

1. Download the Preset
Tap the download link and save the preset file (it’ll be a .DNG file) to your phone.

2. Open Lightroom Mobile
If you haven’t already, download the Lightroom Mobile app (free on iOS and Android).

3. Import the Preset File

  • Open Lightroom
  • Tap the “+” icon to add a photo
  • Select the downloaded .DNG file (it might look like a blank image or overfiltered image—don’t worry, that’s normal!)
  • Tap to open it

4. Save It as a Preset

  • With the .DNG file open, tap the three dots (…) at the top-right corner
  • Select “Create Preset”
  • Give it a name (e.g. “Sakura Bright & Airy”)
  • Tap the check mark ✅ to save

5. Use the Preset on Your Photos

  • Import your own photo into Lightroom
  • Scroll to the “Presets” tab at the bottom
  • Find the preset you saved
  • Tap to apply—done!

You can still adjust exposure, contrast, temperature, or shadows to fit each photo, but this preset will give you a great starting point.
