I like to pack light and carry fewer liquid items during travel. So, if I have to skim my usual beauty routine to just a handful of essentials, these are the non-negotiables in my travel bag.
Let’s dive into the must-haves that make the cut in my travel beauty pouch:
1. Moisturizer

My skin is quite fussy about moisturizer. So, when I found the right one, I definitely will stick to it for a long time & bring it with me everywhere.
Hydrating moisturizer is a must for me to bring because my skin can get really dry when travelling to a different climate.
2. Sunscreen

Yes. Yes. Yes. Non-negotiable. Absolutely yes. Loving this La Roche-Posay tinted sunscreen, by the way!
3. Lippies

Just like sunscreen, an absolute non-negotiable to avoid chapped lips. Loving these versatile lip balms or creamy/soft lip sticks. 1 is never enough to bring ๐ Anyone here easily gets chapped lips too during travel?
โ๏ธ p.s. for my fellow Indo girlies, I recommend this local buttery lip balm, my current fav: Dear Me Beauty Hypergloss #localpride.
4. Stick or Cushion Foundation

For my peace of mind, I avoid bringing liquidy items. If I bring liquid foundation or similar, I’d keep thinking about the possibility of them tumbling over, spilling, or exploding (it’s me, hi, I’m the problem it’s me) ๐ณ
but anyways! I love these Hourglass stick foundation and Giorgio Armani cushion foundation so much. Applying foundation has never been this fast & easy, and not to mention the radiant glowy finish from both of them ๐
5. Eyeliner & Eyebrow Pen

Here I’ve got eyebrow pencil, gel eyeliner, and brow gel. Always need these eyes-sentials just in case I prefer a ๐bolder๐ look.
6. Make-up Wipes or Micellar Water

I gladly choose these practical wipes over a bottle of micellar water or cleansing oil during travel. But if it’s a mini mini micellar water, I’d still probably say yes.
Oh and I also bring a mini gentle cleanser to wash my face after.
7. Eyeshadow Sticks

Another essential. My go to since 2017 is this NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil. It’s compact, creamy, blends beautifully, and sparkly. Etude House version is another good alternative. Eyeshadow Stick 1 – Eyeshadow Pallette 0.
โ๏ธ p.s. a personal local brand favorite I discovered recently is Nama Beauty Eyeshadow Cushion. Beautiful shades & easy to blend.
8. Perfume Samples

I don’t really use much perfume during travel unless I’m going to a fancy location. A couple spritz is enough and that’s what these samples just do. I got these mini perfumes from Sephora.

p.s. I don’t usually bring eyelash-related things because I often get my lashes done before the trip ๐ This saves so much time, sometimes my lashes would already be so va-va-voom enough that I’d still like my look even with less/no-make-up.
So there’s my list of must-bring travel beauty essentials. What’s on your list? Let me know ๐
