In mid-October autumn, we took a roadtrip to Vermont, US. As Vermont is famous for their apples, naturally, we made sure to include a visit to an apple orchard in our Vermont roadtrip itinerary.
After some research, we decided on Peck Farm Orchard, located just a short drive from Waterbury. It turned out to be the perfect stop for a Vermont roadtrip, and hereโs why:
1. Cider donuts and warm apple cider

Thereโs something magical about enjoying warm cider donuts and a cup of hot apple cider on a crisp autumn day.
While thereโs a well-known cider spot in Stowe, we found Peck Farm Orchard’s offering to be even better. Their cider donuts were delightfully fluffy and soft, and the cider was the perfect balance of sweet and tart.
It’s the perfect snack for a beautiful autumn day.
2. Can you pick your own apples?

Yes! One of the best parts of visiting an orchard is picking your own apples!
At Peck Farm Orchard, you can stroll through the trees, hand-pick your favorites, and then pay at the register. Itโs a charming, simple experience that adds a personal touch to your visit.
Their orchard is extra pretty in autumn, with the stunning vibrant trees as the backdrop.
3. Do they have pumpkin?

Yes! But unlike your typical pumpkin patch, the pumpkins at Peck Farm Orchard were displayed on tables, ready for purchase or for a quick photo op.
It was a unique and picturesque touch to the fall experience.
4. Anything else to note? Corn maze?

Though we didnโt venture into the corn maze ourselves, it was clear that itโs a popular attraction, especially for families with young children.
It seemed like the perfect spot for some autumn fun.
5. How’s the parking area?

Peck Farm Orchard is clearly a local favorite based on the number of vehicles at the parking lot (and the number of cars with Vermont license platesโ we noticed lots of them! โบ๏ธ ). But don’t worry, there’s still plenty of parking space available.
