I’m a big fan of brunch, especially when it involves smoothie bowls and avocado toasts. Bali has no shortage of brunch spots, but there’s something special about Over the Moon that sets it apart.

I came on a Sunday morning, looking for a cozy brunch spot, with of course, delicious food. I also needed a place where I could quietly get some work done, and Over the Moon fit the bill perfectly. Psst, if you’re into tea, check out my tea shop on Instagram and Tokopedia Indonesia 😉

Anyway! I decided to have my brunch there, started with a bowl of smoothie bowl. Their dragon fruit smoothie bowl was just right—not too sweet, not too tart, and had the perfect crunch from the granola. Each bite was a nice mix of flavors and textures, making it a great choice for a light and refreshing start to the day.

I couldn’t resist trying something else, so I went for their Avocado Toast. I’m guessing their sourdough bread is homemade—it had that fresh, slightly tangy taste, and the perfect texture. The bread’s crispiness also paired really well with the creamy avocado, feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, and perfectly poached eggs on top.

Speaking of the eggs, they were cooked just right. There’s something satisfying about cutting into a poached egg and seeing the yolk run, and Over the Moon got it spot on.

The service was also worth mentioning. The staff were really attentive and made me feel welcome. I hadn’t ordered water because I wasn’t planning to stay long, but the waiter kindly asked if I was sure, mentioning they offer it for free. It’s a small gesture really, but it made me feel looked after and it definitely added to the overall experience.

Over the Moon in Sanur is absolutely on my list of places to revisit the next time I’m in the area.
