I like to dress simple when travelling. Especially to destinations which I know will require me to do a lot of moving around, like Japan.
Japan in late May can get really hot, but also a little cool & windy in the afternoon. It’s still relatively cool in the evening though. Late May is just the time before the weather starts to get even hotter and hotter ๐ฅ
I packed light and thank goodness I did that, because brands like Uniqlo and GU in Japan are such a good deal ๐
Anyways! Here’s what I wore on my trip ๐ผ๐ผ๐ผ

You may notice a pattern that I wore these items below hehehe. It’s because I love them so much:
- Lululemon Belt Bag
- This bag was a lifesaver!! Small bag is apparently not so small ๐ It’s super functional and holds plenty of things.
- If I have to pick a favourite item that I packed for this trip, it’s definitely this bag! ๐
- On Cloud Shoes
- I just love how they look and how comfortable they were. Not the comfiest pair (compared to their Cloud 5), but definitely do the work & look.
- Long Airy Maxi/Midi Skirts
- I used to hate wearing skirts but boy was I wrong. Skirts are very versatile- easy to put on, you’d feel the cool flowy air as you move, you’d have lots of room when you move, and bonus point is you’d feel pretty wearing it haha.
- Loose Pants
- Similar to maxi skirts, I love the cooling sensations this airy loose pants give me. And I personally think it’s giving โจpolishedโจ look? What do you think?
Hopefully these photos could give you a better picture of what’s the weather like in Japan in late May and some ideas on what clothes to pack.
