Welcome to my first hotel review on this blog! ✨
The perfect zen getaway in Bali may not always be a bamboo bungalow exposed to the wilderness, nor an outdoor net bed overlooking the mountains. Yes, both options are picturesque definition of zen; but in a tropical country like Indonesia, there’s a lot of mosquitoes and other insects 🥲. If you can’t stand insects but still eager to get that 🌿 zen 🌿 moment, I highly recommend staying at Padma Resort in Ubud, Bali.
Here’s why I think Padma Resort is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Also check out this short TikTok video I made about this resort too 😉
1. Serene Location

Surrounded by forest without any other hotels in sight, it is the perfect location to find some peace in a quiet, secluded area. There’s not much around the hotel (which is good! 😌) and it’s about 40-min car ride from Ubud Centre.
2. Activities!

Aerial yoga, regular yoga, biking, trekking, archery– there’s just heaps of activities available if you’d like to keep yourself busy. And these are offered at no additional cost! There’s a guide for each activity and everyone was just so friendly and warm. My favorite activity was the aerial yoga at 6:30am—the ambiance, the light stretch to wake the body up, the view—it was my definition of a perfect morning 😌🌻
3. Heated Infinity Pool

I visited Ubud before and dreaded the thought of swimming because Ubud’s morning temperature can get much cooler than Legian. But omg they have ✨heated✨ pool! And it’s an infinity pool with undivided view of hills! And wait—it’s apparently also the longest infinity pool in Bali. Nuff said 💅
4. H u g e Rooms
I stayed in one of their deluxe rooms and it felt like a suite. I had the chance to stayed in a 5-star hotel’s deluxe room in Sanur before—barely had enough room to walk lmao. Anyways! What I also loved about their rooms is their amenities. They provide Sensatia’s amenities— loved the scent—and these are kept in elegant pump dispensers. Loved how they incorporate sustainability practices in what they do 🍃
Sadly I didn’t take good photos of the room because I checked in late at night and was only able to take a quick vid 🥲 here’s the room I’m talking about.
5. Amazing Breakfast

They have amazing & unique selections that are just right and not too overwhelming in taste. Buffet tables also did not seem to be crowded despite the many varieties, making it easy for me to decide what I wanted. I usually don’t eat much for breakfast, but not when I stayed here. I mean, they even have matcha white bread?? How could I not eat that? 🤤
6. Super Relaxing Massage

I thought I was only going to list 5 things, but this popped up in my mind last minute! I had a really really relaxing massage here. I loved their spa interior, the relaxing aromatherapy, and especially the massage therapist. I could tell that she has been perfectly trained— just enough pressure at all the right spots 😌

I loved my stay here and hope this review can be helpful if you’re thinking about visiting Ubud, Bali in the future.
p.s. this post is not sponsored by Padma Ubud Resort—although if they’d like to, I’ll gladly volunteer 😀
Jk, but I genuinely enjoyed my time there 😌 (just notice how many times I’ve now used this “satisfied” emoji) & I’d be super delighted to have another relaxing stay at Padma 🤎
