matsumoto was such a lovely, relatively quiet city ♡

stepping outside to mountain views, falling asleep to the sound of the river, waking up to fresh mountain air, a sky full of stars after dinner, thoughtful amenities (yes, even a ReFa hairdryer), and the freshest apple juice i’ve ever had

this is what Kamikochi actually sounded like. and it was perfect. would you keep the original sound or add music?

i almost visited Kamikochi as a day trip.

slow morning in kamikochi. waking up to the sound of the river flowing all day and all night was something i didn’t know i needed. every moment felt so peaceful.

sometimes all you need is a slower day… in the mountains. in japan 🙂‍↕️
